Climbing in Mallorca

Mallorca is a
gem for everybody who loves climbing!

All over Mallorca you find a number of exciting climbing sites which holds trails in all levels of difficulty, from beginner to expert.

Our tours offer you the chance to discover Mallorca as the climbing paradise it is. Our tours will take you through the nature of the island to steep rock formations and mountain slopes which will put even the experienced climber to the test. We of course also offer climbing tours for the beginners and less experienced. For the climbing tours we supply modern and safe equipment.

We also offer special climbing tours for families with children.

The Climbing areas of Mallorca

In Mallorca you find great climbing areas both inland and by the coast. The cliffs are of tuff or calcious rock which ensures a good grip.

The inland sites
The inland routes for climbing are all through Mallorca fully equipped and secured (hook distance 2-3 meters). A lot of the routes are in the categories 5 to 7.

Most of the climbing sites have a height of 12-30 meters. In addition to these some few sites have heights of up to 200 meters.

Near Outdoorcamp Mallorca you find the biggest and highest climbing area with about 130 different routes. Around the cam site are also many smaller climbing areas with about 8-15 routes each.

The coastal sites
We also offer climbing tours that won’t be taking place in the inland of Mallorca. Near the coast it is also nice to climb, especially because the nice sea breeze refreshes your body and your mind. – This has a very special charm to it.

Cala Magraner in particular is a really beautiful area to go climbing. The climbing site is located on a dried up riverbed in the bay. It has about 25 different climbing routes, with difficulty levels between 4 and 6, at places up to level 8.

Another climbing area to be recommended is located in the Palma area, near the military harbour. Here you find 4 climbing routes directly by the sea, each of which also are suitable for bouldering. You access the area from land, but even so you are climbing directly above the sea. Traverse from 40 meters / 1-1½ meters.

Furthermore it is possible to travel to S’areal by boat. Here you will have a wonderful climbing experience, which could be followed by a power snorkelling tour.
